Sacramental Prep:
BAPTISM: Information is available at the Rectory.
FIRST PENANCE AND COMMUNION: First Penance and Communion preparation consists of two years of formal classroom instruction.
Children should begin religious education in grade 1. Immediate preparation for the sacrament takes place in Grade 2. Attendance
at parents` meetings is required.
Children cannot be considered for the Sacraments unless they
are attending Mass on a regular basis. All children in the program must attend Sunday Mass.
CONFIRMATION: Young adults receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in 9th grade.
Class Attendance:
Students are expected
to attend all the scheduled classes. Parents are asked to call the day of an absence and to send a note to the teacher at
the next class. Over 8 absences constitute an incomplete year.
Achievement:
A progress report will be given twice a year to inform the parents of how
their children are doing in class assignments, homework, class participation and conduct. (Conduct: Teachers cannot allow
behavior problems to upset precious class time. If a problem arises, parents will be notified.)
Food:
Students will not be permitted to bring food, drink or gum into classes.
Lost Book Fee
Replacement cost of a lost student text is $10.00.
Children`s Confessions:
Families should receive the Sacrament of Penance regularly, preferably once a month. We also make it available to the students twice a year during class time.
Family Class Masses:
Our Religious Education families will celebrate the Eucharist together during the school year.
