8th Grade Art Assignments

Hope you are ready to create!

All 8th grade students will be taking ART for 3 week rotating units throughout the school year.

Supplies needed:

1.   Your Art Notebook
Every student will need a folder with 2 pockets and three fasteners in the center.  A 2 pocket only folder will not be suitable because there will be numerous papers and they will fall out if not fastened into the folder.  The side pockets will be needed to store small pieces of ongoing projects.
We will be adding to this notebook throughout the year.  You will have this notebook to use in high school or for your own use in the future.  This will be an important resource for you.

Notebooks will remain in the art room all year, except when students take them home to study for a test or use as a resource when completeing a project, or contest entry at home.  Any notebook larger than 1" will create a storage problem for the 300+ notebooks.  Thank you for your consideration!

The notebook does not have to be new; it can be used!

2.  All students should also have 2 pencils with erasers, or a mechanical pencil with them for every class.

HOMEWORK  For Term 1
1. Bring folder with pockets & 3 metal fasteners and 2 pencils to keep in art studio.

2. When you and your parents have read the Course Description Sheet, (lavender sheet), please return it to the front pocket of your Art Notebook
Also, return your signed  Parent Preferences/Permission Slip (white paper) indicating whether a) your name, photo, or art work is to be shown, (or NOT), on website
b) permission for your work to be shown  (or NOT) at out-of-school art shows.
