Pembroke Arts Festival is held the first weekend of August every year. SLRMS students have had been very succesful at winning prizes and recognition at this festival.  Our students have won First Place in the Grade 7-9 category for the past two years!  Students have also won 2 second place ribbons and several honorable mention awards. It is a wonderful opportunity for our students and a great time for aspiring artists!  Students are encouraged to save their best artwork throughout the year, in any medium, and enter it in the  40th Annual Pembroke Arts Festival which will be held in August 2007.  Entries must be dropped off at the Pembroke Library front desk by the end of July . Students put the grade they were in during the 2006-2007 school year. There is no fee for entries for the children through their Senior year in high school.
