The event is open to the public, and students in grades 6 through 12 are encouraged to attend with their
parents.
We invite you to join us and learn why all teens are vulnerable to engage in risk-taking behavior, how
to recognize a problem, and how to help. You will also have the opportunity to learn from law enforcement officials
about the impact that underage drinking or illegal drug use can have on families and communities.
Speakers will include Mr. David Baker and Officer Luis Hurtado, Montgomery County Police Community Outreach
Program, and Dr. James Bjork, Ph.D., National Institute on Drug Abuse. A question and answer session will follow these
presentations. Dr. Diane Berman, MHS resource counselor, will be available to help answer questions regarding parenting
issues.
