About Kristin Roth:

Kristin Roth started her swim and dive career at the age of seven in Montgomery County with CCSDL (Country Club Swimming and Diving League) for Manor Country Club during the summers, and RMSC (Rockville Montgomery Swim Club) and MDC (Montgomery Dive Club) year round.  While diving for MDC at the Montgomery Aquatic Center, Kristin dove for many years with veteran dive coach, John Wolsh. During her years at Manor she held several age group dive records while diving from ages eight to fourteen.

After her junior swimming and diving, Kristin entered Sherwood HS excelling in several sports, including: diving, tennis, and lacrosse. While at Sherwood, Kristin made All-Met (Tennis), All-County (Lacrosse), and for diving, she finished third at Counties and top ten at Metro's during her freshman year.

At the University of Maryland, Kristin played on the varsity women's tennis team her sophomore year.  She then again joined coach John Wolsh, diving on the varsity dive team her junior year. Also on that dive team was Chris Roddy, former Tanterra dive coach.

In June of 2009, Kristin will have completed her fourth year as the Physical Education teacher at Sherwood Elementary school in Sandy Spring. She still enjoys multiple sports and is training for several upcoming triathlons and distance runs. This will be Kristin's seventh year with Tanterra, and she can't wait to work with both the familiar faces and the new ones!

Kristin believes in participating in sports for the love of the physical activity and mental challenge.  She feels that all children should have the opportunity to work hard and feel successful after trying their best in anything that they do, and she is dedicated to working hard to give her divers these opportunities to be the best they can be!
