About Erin Stout:
Erin has been swimming for the Tanterra
Tarpons since she was 7 years old. At age 8 she began her competitive swimming career with the Rockville Montgomery
Swim Club (RMSC) and her love for the sport grew from there. At age 13, she entered
the National Training Group and was a member of the RMSC National team in 2007 and 2008.
Erin was a 2008 recipient of Tanterra’s Mack Hester award in her senior year on the team. She swam for
Sherwood High School where she lettered all four years and was a captain of the team her senior year. Erin holds Tanterra
records in the breaststroke events for every age group and holds the Sherwood High School records in the 100 breaststroke,
200 individual medley, and 400 freestyle relay. Currently, Erin swims for the University of Maryland Terrapins and is
majoring in kinesiology.
As a lifetime member of the Tanterra
team, Erin enjoys working with young swimmers and is excited about giving back to the team in her first year as an assistant
coach. Erin has coached the Tanterra Pre-Team in the past, and has recently been coaching kids at the Terrapin Swim
School, a program put on by the University of Maryland Swim Team.
Erin is looking forward to the upcoming
season and is excited about continuing her involvement with the team.
