The engine in the car when I purchased it was from a Pontiac Trans-AM. I was able to find a 72 454 on ebay to replace it. The specs on the engine are: 460hp / 500lb torque / 10:1:1 compression. I also had a turbo 400 trans rebuilt and installed it,  replaced all u-joints and had the shafts balanced.
