Sample Edit and Evaluation

We would be pleased to provide you with a sample edit, at no charge. And, for theses and dissertations, we can provide a brief evaluation based on your first and last chapters. For any requirements that don't fit into our services as described here, please contact us for a quotation.

Academic and Technical Editing

US$15.00/page; 250 words/page; $20.00 handling charge under 10 pages; call for quotation on large jobs or short turnaround. An hourly rate is available at $50.00/hour.

We analyze your document in all areas, from information organization to structural cohesion, to ensure that the style is appropriate to the content, that the style is consistent, and that the document reflects your goal. This substantive edit includes:

• Proofreading - typos and spelling, minor grammatical errors, complete sentences, subject-verb agreement, punctuation, verbose language.
• Copy editing - formatting, pagination, spacing, indenting, heading styles, style conformance with MLA, Chicago 14th., APA, IEEE.
• Sentence structure - tenses, active and passive verb use, pronoun reference, parallel construction.
• Paragraph structure - topic sentence, flow, logic, transitions.
• Document consistency - style, logical progression, content development including internal relevance and parallel structure.
