An Email I got from one of my students:
Hi Jamie!
Thank you for that email...I was really touched. I am doing well, just teaching and trying
to get preggers! haha. I just wanted to say that I have always enjoyed my time at Poise and hope to make a truimphant
return soon! I do have a story for you that proves that Poise dance studio (and its instructors) are the best...
I attended a bachelorette party for a friend and we took a pole dancing class. I was upset that they had already put
a deposit down at another dance studio, otherwise we would have been at Poise, BELIEVE me. Anyway, we take this class
and to start off, the instructor says that she is going to show us the routine we will be learning that night...Well, she
goes on the pole and does this ridiculous routine that no beginner or intermediate dancer would be able to do. My friends
were like, What the F?? We can't do that. This instructor went on for 15 minutes with this routine!!!!! Then she
tells us that we will learn the "end" of her routine. Whatever! She teaches us the scoop and teaches it completely
wrong. I was cringing!!!! Anyway, she tries teaching us this DUMB routine and winds up dropping it to teach girls
how to climb and do inverts!!! This was everyone's first experience with pole dancing!!!!! I didn't even do anything
on the pole b/c I spotted my friends the whole time. I was soooo worried that they were going to really injure themselves.
This whole experience made me realize what a fantastic job you and the other instructors do in keeping us dancers safe.
I just wanted to say thank you again for what you do. You make so many girls feel sexy and comfortable in their own
skin. And that means so much to us all!
I miss you and the girls! I hope you are well and the studio is flourishing! :)
