Charlotte communicates with all animals, but horses are her specialty!

Luke, a known biter, allows me to hold his muzzle. I just asked him not to bite me.

All my life I have talked with animals, especially the horses around me. I hear them in my head. I thought everyone did. (Actually everyone can...if they listen.)

As a child, my parents told me I shouldn't talk of things metaphysical, it wasn't normal and people would think I was weird. An adopted aunt told me that I could enjoy talking with the animals and some of the other experiences I had, but just keep it to myself or share it only with her or people who "understood". So I kept that part of my life secret into adulthood.

I credit Dr. Joyce Harman, a holistic veterinarian who owns and operates Harmany Equine Clinic, Washington, VA, with repeatedly encouraging me (a closet communicator) over several years to come to a weekend workshop at her farm with the well-known and well-respected animal communicator, Dawn Hayman. Dawn was a student of Penelope Smith.

The weekend consisted of practical experience in animal communication...listening to Dawn's experiences, doing exercises in communication and actually going around Joyce's farm and talking to the animals. It was so eye-opening and wonderful to be surrounded by 20-odd people who in their individual and many different ways could communicate with animals. It was especially interesting to talk to fellow communicators about their personal experiences. As for Dawn's communication abilities, the overused phrase "totally awesome" actually applies.

To hone my skills and to further develop my talent and focus, I attended several workshops with Dawn at Spring Farm CARES, near Utica, NY. Spring Farm is an animal rescue farm for all kinds of animals from dogs, cats, geese, ducks, chickens, donkeys, horses, goats and llamas to name a few. I gained a lot of experience with many different animal species there, each with their own story to tell.

It's a wonderful place and they are a non-profit organization, caring for cast off animals until they die naturally. Some of the dogs and cats get placed in homes, but most of the refugees stay at Spring Farm.

I also apprenticed with Bill Northern, dowser and communicator, of Warsaw, VA, between his many world travels to exotic places communicating with animals. Working with Bill was an intense learning experience, he taught me many techniques and how to dowse an animal for pain or the land for energy streams and to determine what they are.

Since then I have been quietly communicating professionally with animals working with veterinarians and referrals from friends and those that I have helped. I was recently told it was time to have some business cards made and put the fact that I communicate with animals on the web. So here it is!

Please, feel free contact me (757-566-4777) between the hours of 9am - 9pm.

If I'm unavailable, leave a message, I will call you back as soon as I can. I have a barnful of horses and all the chores that go with them.

If the animal isn't willing or I can't make the connection telepathically, there is no charge. I do most of my work on the phone, so you don't have any travel expenses unless you prefer to have me come to the animals.

I also do not charge for helping to locate lost animals.

My rates are:
$60 for the first animal
$20 each  for other animals of the same owner.

  • Please prepare the questions you want to ask your animal in advance.
  • I need the location/address of the animal.
  • Give me a good description (breed, sex, height, weight or body shape, color(s) and any markings) of the animal so that I may be sure I'm talking to the right animal...especailly when there are multiple animals in a given location.
  • If the owner wishes and the animal gives me permission, I first scan for health issues or pain.
  • I am not a veterinarian. If the animal is ill or injured, please consult your veterinarian.
I trust owners who care enough to communicate with their animals to mail me a check following the communication at the following address:
