Seminar with Master Parm Rai
Master Rai, 7th Dan and Special Assistant to Pres. Choi, will be giving a seminar for Green belt on up at Mark Cashatt's
Taekwon-Do School in Souderton on Saturday May 31, 2008. This is a special opportunity for our students.
Umpire Course-Ottawa, Canada
The weekend of Feb 29-Mar 2, 2008, instructors, Mrs Risko, Mrs Hoffpauir and Mrs Puderbach, attended an umpire course
taught by Master Gallaraga of Argentina in Ottawa, Canada. It was hosted be Mr. Demers & Mr Reid. The course
covered International Taekwon-Do Tournament rules. An evening banquet with special guest, Pres. Choi and his assistant,
Master Rai was shared by all. The instructors were awarded their Class A Umpire certificates at the conclusion.
2007 ITF Jr & Sr World Championships
The 2007 ITF World Championships was held in Birmingham England Aug. 1-5, 2007. Local competitor were:
Zakery Russell and Sean Risko of Legacy Taekwon-Do School, Pottstown, Jesse Schane and Richard Chieffo from Mark Cashatt's
of Harleysville and Chris Mege from Bill Lees Taekwon-Do in East Greenville. Pasternak and VanZile from Sylvania OH
completed the team. Russell competed in Jr Individual Sparring. Risko, Schane, Mege & Chieffo competed individually
and in Team divisions and won a Bronze Medal in the Sr Mens Team division. Congratulations and Great Job representing
the USA!

National Qualifiers April 28-29, 2007
Local group competes and comes out on top at the National Qualifiers held in Pleasanton, CA. These
gentlemen have won the opportunity to compete at the World Championships in Birmingham, England Aug 1-5, 2007.

BOARD BREAKING CLASS Nov 28, 2006
On Tuesday Nov 28, a large board breaking class was held for all students. Over 150 boards were broken
as students practiced hand and foot techniques. Some of the highlights of the event were Adults, Sean Risko, who
broke 8 boards with a side piercing kick and a special suspended break using a spinning 540 turn kick. Nicole Puderbach broke
2 suspended boards with an open fist strike and Adam Hampton performed a jump back reverse hook kick suspended break.
Woody Wilson did 5 boards with a standing kick and a flying side kick over a 4 foot obstacle. Highlights from the children
were Michaela Shaw, 3 boards standing side kick, Ethan McRae side piercing kick and Solomon Bailey 2 boards side fist.
PROMOTIONAL TESTING 08/02/2006
At testing on Wed. Aug 2, 2006, Ms Lindsey Weaver was successfully promoted to 2nd degree Jr Black Belt.
Matt Tupitza was promoted to Yellow Stripe. Both students performed patterns and step-sparring and Ms Weaver demonstrated
self-defense and board breaking requirements. Congratulations Students!

PROMOTIONAL TESTING May 31, 2006
Promotional
testing for Black Belt and color belts, was held recently at Legacy Taekwon-Do School in Pottstown. Master Bill Lees, 7th
degree black belt and President of the United Taekwon-Do Federation was special guest at the testing conducted by Mrs Deb
Risko, 6th degree Black belt at the Pottstown school. Mr Jerry Hartley was successfully promoted to 6th degree black belt.
Also promoted was Mr Ron Kasper to 3rd degree black belt and Mr Ryan Strohecker to 2nd degree black belt. Color belt students
promoted included: Barbara Shaw and Michaela Shaw to Red belt, Soloman Bailey to Red
stripe, Patrick Shaw to Green belt,
Sarah Christian and Ethan McRae to Green stripe as well as Emily Williams and Jacob Puderbach to Yellow stripe. Congratulations,

Contributions to Cluster Outreach
The month of July, 2008, students contributed pantry items for donation to Cluster Outreach of Pottstown. Donations
weighed 110 pounds. The Outreach center was very thankful for the needed items.
Going Away
Tuesday Aug 21, 2008, instructors and students bid farewell to our student Sam as she prepared to travel home to London
where even bigger preparations are taking place as she will be married in October. Congratulations and Best of Luck. We look
forward to your training with us on return visits.
Spirit of Taekwon-Do Summer Camp
Applications for summer camp are now available. This year, Mr Cashatt will be holding it at Camp Innaba, Pughtown,
Friday June 13 through Sunday June 15, 2008. Essays are being accepted for a chance to win an all expense paid trip!

Seminar with Master Parm Rai Nov,2007
On November 9th and 10th Master Parm Rai, ITF Treasurer, and Special Assistant to the President, traveled
to All-Star Taekwon-Do in Fairfield, New Jersey to conduct training workshops. Students from California, Michigan, New
Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania attended. During this workshop Master Rai reviewed fundamentals, kicking, sine wave,
patterns, advanced model sparring, and, of course, conditioning. Following the training, Master Rai updated the group on all
of the upcoming ITF events and the expansion of the ITF under President Choi.

Instructor Workout Sept 2007
Instructors, 4th degree and above gathered for a fun workout at Mark Cashatt's Taekwon-Do Open House.
THOMAS CHIPLEY TOURNAMENT April 14, 2007
On Saturday, April 14, Mr Cashatt will host the Thomas Chipley Tournament at Indian Valley School in Harleysville.
Competition will include patterns, sparring and team patterns.
ITF Umpire's COURSE Mar 3-4, 2007
An ITF Umpire's course was held in Harleysville, PA by Master Geoghegan for USA ITF INO's. Represented
was the United Taekwon-Do Federation, Master Bill Lees, President, USITF, Master Robert Wheatley, President and the Phoenix
Group, Master Thompkins, President. There were over 100 participants that were certified to Class A, Class B and Class
C umpire.
