Music
Gets us moving! We exercise, have fun and play games to music. Music is a beneficial
part of life and enhances learning.
Circle Time
In our opinion, the best part of the day. We talk about anything the kids want, from what
they had for supper the night before to what they want to be when the grow up! Everyone gets into the spotlight! We
have some great conversation at the Circle Time Table! And we love to read stories to the children. It brings out the
best of their personalities! Our Circle Time opens with our song "We're Glad You're Here Today." We then go around
the circle and everyone does their appointed job, ie: Flag Holder (We state the Pledge of Allegiance), Calendar Person (We
sing the days of the week song), Weather Wheel and Alphabet Leader (Starts singing the ABC's) etc. We finish
off by reading several stories, sometimes picked by the children.

Calendar
Each day the children take turns adding the date to our wall calendar. Not only are they learning
the days of the week, and the months, they are also singing our Days of the Week song and learning to recognize numbers and
patterns.
Weather
Our daily routine includes conversation about today's weather and our appointed weather person gets to
show us details on the Weather Wheel.

Art
Our daily curriculum includes a number of wonderful projects that incorporate learning and fun.
The children enjoy finger painting, drawing with crayons and markers, working with play dough, learning to cut with
scissors and more. These activities teach creativity, which helps a child in all aspects of his/her life.
Sticker Chart
The children are now working on sharing. Each day if they have shown us that they have shared with
the others they will get a sticker on their chart. When their chart is full they will get a reward for their hard
work! Some of our other sticker categories are; manners, clean up, wash my hands, be kind to others, taking turns
etc.

Outdoor Play
Highly essential, even in the winter months! Kids need to feel different temperatures, experiment
with the snow, leaves, grass, dirt and water. We spend lots of time outside and the kids love it!
Meals & Snacks
All meals and snacks served are USDA approved which means each meal includes foods from each food
group.
Snack time is fun. The children pick their own snacks from our "Snack Basket," where
there is a variety of healthy choices. Our snack helper carries the basket around to each of the kids.
