In celebration of the 375th anniversary of the founding of Watertown, the Friends of Mount Auburn Cemetery and the Historical Society of Watertown joined together, on Sunday, October 9, 2005, to give a guided tour of the gravesites of several notable people who once resided in Watertown.
 

The tour began with an introduction to the cemetery, given by Bree Detamore Harvey of Mount Auburn's Interpretive Programs. The lives of our Watertown Notables were recalled by members of the Historical Society Council and Volunteers. The Historical Society Council has six living history reenactors. Below is a list of the Watertown Notables & and those who spoke on their behalf.
