Intercultural Coalition for Family Wellness

Intercultural Coalition for Family Wellness ("ICFamWell") is a small non-profit organization which provides mental health resources, training as well as administrative support to smaller, under-funded community-based programs throughout Latin America. More recently our efforts have expanded to include local programs in the northeastern United States serving an increased number of families displaced or immigrated from Latin America. We utilize a family-centered, systemic model of work which promotes a spirit of collaboration and cooperation across disciplines.

Throughout Ecuador and her neighboring countries, families are increasingly affected by economic, political and social changes. Too often, the challenges and needs of famiies are overlooked due to the overriding focus on political and economic stability.

Whether geographically isolated, culturally marginalized or in the center of urban life, families face issues that affect the health of their relationships with one another and ultimately the health and welfare of their communities.

ICFamwell is working to provide resources and support to an evolving network of individuals and programs who are dedicated to relational healing and health throughout Ecuador and her neighboring countries. Additionally,support is extended to family members who, for economic and/or political reasons, have migrated to the U.S. (particularly the Delaware Valley region) and who are affected by the stress and conmplexities of this seperation.
