Throughout my life I have enjoyed classes in ballet, jazz, and tap dancing. I've trained with weights, run,
power walked and enrolled in every new aerobic's class offered at my gym. Finally, several years ago, I began jumping
rope after taking a beginner's boxing class. Immediately, I knew I had found a great way to strenghten and tone every
muscle in my body with just one form of exercise. Additionally, jumping rope burned calories, improved my eye-hand coordination
and gave me incredible energy and stamina. It seemed to be the perfect way to stay in shape.
With this in mind, I began to look for a way to avoid
the possible risk of becoming bored with the constant repitition of jumping rope. So, I put on my headphones and began
choreographing fun and easy dance routines with the jump rope that would give me the superior results that come with jumping
rope.
This jump rope video is the result of that effort.
I have been "jump rope dancing" for years now and I am still having fun.
Another passion in my life is reading. I have a Masters degree in
the Art of Teaching and a B.A. in Literature. Three of my favorite subjects of
study are nutrition, psychology, and the philosophy of Zen. After many years
of reading and practicing, it has become clear that there is a remarkable and undeniable connection among mind, body, and
spirit. My aim has become to better understand these relationships. In monthly newsletters, I will share with you what I have learned about wellness and healing. Additionally, I will ask some experts to contribute information that may benefit you. In this way, when you jump rope, you’ll be enthusiastically and energetically jumping for joy.
CHILDREN KNOW WHAT
IS FUN, AND BOXERS DO WHAT WORKS.
So, grab your jump rope too and become fabulously fit.
