QUESTION:  I read a review of the “Jump Rope Dancing” DVD which stated that the dancing was not “in sync” with the music.  What’s the story?

ANSWER:  The “Jump Rope Dancing” DVD was shot in its entirety two times.  The first release, in August 2005, was shot while Annette was listening to popular tunes on her MP3 player.  Then, musicians wrote original songs that had the same beat and style.  These new songs were used for the soundtrack of the video.  Apparently, there were some slight inconsistencies between the beat of the original songs and the music used on the DVD.  In no way, did these slight differences affect the quality of the workout.

       The second release of the "Jump Rope Dancing" DVD in mid June 2006, had a new box cover, picture in picture instruction, and NO “SYNC” PROBLEMS.  Annette listens to and dances with the same music that was especially written for her video.  THIS IS THE ONLY VIDEO FOR SALE.  THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS WITH THE MUSIC. 

QUESTION:  What type of music is used on this DVD and why?

ANSWER:   Original music was created for the DVD that compliments the style of dance.  For example, when the cha cha, Latin dancing, chorus line style or pony steps are demonstrated, the music fits perfectly.  Getting permission to use popular dance songs was cost prohibitive and time consuming.  You may have noticed that very few exercise videos use popular tunes for their DVDs.  Most of customer feedback has been very positive regarding the music.  People understand that an exercise DVD is not a CD release, but appreciate that the style and beat of the music varies with the jump rope dancing routines.  The driving beat that some people prefer would not be appropriate for dance routines.
