Welcome to Rose Colored Glasses. We are Susan and Peter Milsky and we make handwired fused dichroic glass jewelry.
Susan fires all of her own glass in a kiln to 1700 degrees fahrenheit. The glass is then shaped, or carved and fired
a second time to polish the edges. Peter then wires the pieces to form the finished jewelry. Dichroic glass gets
its name because it has color shifts. Two or more colors can be seen in the glass when it is seen from different angles.
Susan combines different glasses which gives an almost infinite variety to the effects that can be achieved.
We have included photos of some of the pieces we make. The photos
can only give an idea of the beauty of dichroic glass as it depends upon light and shifts in color to get a full appreciation
of its brilliance. The pictures on the right show some examples of pendants that we make. All of our jewelry
is made in either sterling silver or 14k gold filled wire.
