DISNEYLAND®  RESORT

TIPS

  • Disneyland® Resort is made up of  1) Disneyland® Park, 2) 3 resorts, 3) Disney's California AdventureTM park, and Downtown Disney® disrict.
  • When you are waiting for the afternoon parade on "Main Street U.S.A.", take turns cooling off in the "Main Street Cinema" and watch cartoons and movie clips.
  • During the Christmas holidays, “it’s a small world” plays holiday music from around the world.
  • Plan to ride “Indiana Jones Adventure” early or late in the day and take advantage of shorter lines.
  • "Fantasyland" was Walt Disney’s favorite “land”
  • When you visit the sailing ship “Columbia”, go below deck to see re-created quarters from the 18th century.
  • Walt Disney’s family crest can be seen above the archway at the "Sleeping Beauty Castle" entrance.
  • The "Disney Gallery" in "New Orleans Square" was originally intended as a private apartment for Walt and Roy Disney.
  • Carry a change of clothes for children who decide to splash and play in the water at the Princess Dot Puddle Park in “a bug’s land”.
  • There are 75 clovers at Filk’s Fun Fair.
  • When you go thru the final turn of "California Screamin’", be sure to smile because you picture in being taken (look for your picture when you’re heading to the exit)
  • If you are staying at one of the three Disneyland®  hotels, you can have your purchases delivered directly to your room.
  • Character Meals are a leisurely way to meet with Disney Characters.
  • If you have children and you become separated from them, messages can be left at Guest Relations in either theme park, or report lost children to any Cast Member.
  • You can’t bring animals into the theme parks (exception:  service animals).  Your pets can vacation at the "Disneyland®  Kennel Club"  while you tour the park.
  • Both theme parks are designated non-smoking.  Smokers should look for signs to find out where smoking is allowed.
  • If you are a smoker, you can’t stay at Disneyland's Grand Californian Hotel®.
  • Guests can use self-parking at Downtown Disney® District and get 3 hours of free parking.  Plus, an additional 2 hours can be validated if you go to a movie, or dine at a full-service restaurant at no additional charge.
  • Check Disneyland.com before you leave on your trip and check out which attractions are closed for refurbishing.
  • Forty-six percent of those polled said they most remember “adventures and attractions” from their first visit, followed by “the castle” (25 percent) and “meeting the characters” (12 percent).
  • Nearly three out of every four Americans (72 percent, to be exact), can sing a chorus from “it’s a small world.”
  • When asked which celebrity they would most like to tour a Walt Disney Theme Park with, the top three responses were: Oprah Winfrey (16 percent), Clint Eastwood (11 percent) and Julie Andrews (eight percent).
