TIPS
- Disneyland®
Resort is made up of 1) Disneyland®
Park, 2) 3 resorts, 3) Disney's California AdventureTM park, and Downtown
Disney® disrict.
- When you are waiting for the afternoon parade on "Main Street U.S.A.", take
turns cooling off in the "Main Street Cinema" and watch cartoons and movie clips.
- During the Christmas holidays, “it’s a small world” plays
holiday music from around the world.
- Plan to ride “Indiana Jones Adventure” early or late in the day
and take advantage of shorter lines.
- "Fantasyland" was Walt Disney’s favorite “land”
- When you visit the sailing ship “Columbia”,
go below deck to see re-created quarters from the 18th century.
- Walt Disney’s family crest can be seen above the archway at the "Sleeping
Beauty Castle" entrance.
- The "Disney Gallery" in "New Orleans Square"
was originally intended as a private apartment for Walt and Roy Disney.
- Carry a change of clothes for children who decide to splash and play in the water at the Princess Dot Puddle
Park in “a bug’s land”.
- There are 75 clovers at Filk’s Fun Fair.
- When you go thru the final turn of "California Screamin’", be sure to smile because you picture in being
taken (look for your picture when you’re heading to the exit)
- If you are staying at one of the three Disneyland® hotels, you can have your purchases delivered directly to your room.
- Character Meals are a leisurely way to meet with Disney Characters.
- If you have children and you become separated from them, messages can be left at Guest Relations in either theme
park, or report lost children to any Cast Member.
- You can’t bring animals into the theme parks (exception: service
animals). Your pets can vacation at the "Disneyland® Kennel Club" while you tour the park.
- Both theme parks are designated non-smoking. Smokers should look
for signs to find out where smoking is allowed.
- If you are a smoker, you can’t stay at Disneyland's Grand Californian Hotel®.
- Guests can use self-parking at Downtown Disney®
District and get 3 hours of free parking. Plus, an additional 2 hours can
be validated if you go to a movie, or dine at a full-service restaurant at no additional charge.
- Check Disneyland.com before you leave on your trip and check out which attractions are closed for refurbishing.
- Forty-six percent of those polled said they most remember “adventures and attractions” from their
first visit, followed by “the castle” (25 percent) and “meeting the characters” (12 percent).
- Nearly three out of every four Americans (72 percent, to be exact), can sing a chorus from “it’s
a small world.”
- When asked which celebrity they would most like to tour a Walt
Disney Theme Park with, the top three responses were:
Oprah Winfrey (16 percent), Clint Eastwood (11 percent) and Julie Andrews (eight percent).
