GEILS BRIEF HISTORY: The J. Geils Band was formed in the late 1960's in Boston. The original name of the group was "Snoopy
and The Sopwith Camel" started by J; Danny and Magic. adding Wolf and Stephen Jo after they left a band called "The Hallucinations"
they became "The J. Geils Blues Band" mainly due to J.Geils being under exclusive contract with his personal manager. In 1970
Atlantic Records President Mr. Ahmet Ertegun sent promotion man Mario Medius (the Big "M") to see another group performing
in Boston known as "Dr. John and the Night Trippers." J. Geils was the opening act. Seeing the Geils Band performance, the
Big "M" was blown away and requested that Mr. Ertegen sign the Band on with Atlantic Records. Upon meeting with Mr. Ertegen,
J. Geils and the Band agreed to drop the word "Blues" from the Bands name, hence the J. Geils Band and was immediately signed
on to Atlantic Records. After many album releases and nearing the end of their contractual agreement with Atlantic Records,
the Geils Band signed on with E.M.I. America Records a division of Capitol Records. With the promotion of E.M.I. America
Records, the new management team of Jebb Hart and Bob Hinkle and the use of MTV video's the Band had a #1 record in 1982 "Centerfold"
finally reaching their well deserved acclaim. Unfortunately, the Bands demise came in Oct. of 1983 with each member going
their separate ways with their career's. Peter Wolf lead singer and frontman launched a songwriting and solo career. Wolf
was currently working in the Studio on his upcoming new CD release due out in the early part of 2010; that CD has since been
released "Midnight Souvenirs" with guest artists Shelby Lynn, Neko Case, Merle Haggard along with Peter's Band known as The
Midnight Travelers. J. Geils and Magic Dick had formed a blues band called "Bluestime"; J. also has an exotic car shop in
Mass. and Magic has also designed his own line of harmonica's. J. is currently playing with Gerry Beaudoin and Duke Robillard
with the Kings Of Strings and New Guitar Summit Quartets and also doing lectures at colleges on the guitar. M.D. is currently
touring with Mark Hummel, Lee Oscar and Jerry Portnoy in the fabulous "Harmonica Blowout Tour"; Seth went on to recording
and producing and has worked with Debra Harry of "Blondie" and is also currently working on his own new CD; Danny Klein after
returning to being a cooking chef, formed a group of his own known as "Stonecrazy" and also D.K.'s FullHouse and is currently
playing the Boston, New England area; lastly and unfortunately however,Stephen Jo Bladd has chosen to remain in retirement
and remains a very devoted family man. Marty Richards was currently filling the spot for Stephen Jo. Tom Arey has now taken
over that spot. The band did a 1999 "Houseparty" tour with all the original members excluding Stephen Jo. The Band was inducted
into "Boston's Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame" and in 2005 was nominated for the world "Rock n' Roll Hall Of Fame and again for
2006." The Band just performed 5 sell out Shows 2 @ The House of Blues in Boston in February and April 2 @ The Fillmore in
