Sinfonia à Solo di Archiliuto
This sinfonia was purchased in 1956 by the late Robert Spencer from the Graf Harrach collection in
Rohrau, birthplace of Haydn (his mother worked in the Count's kitchen). It is probably Bohemian in origin, and may be
for some kind of mandora, rather than archlute. At the time, Mr.Spencer also purchased two concertinos for the same
instrument, and the Sonata by Lauffensteiner (the later publ. by the Lute Society [U.K.]).
