IMPORTANT!
The Ventnor School Superintendent has notified
us that all illegally parked cars at the Lafayette School Complex will be towed. Parking is not allowed in front of the fire
hydrant or up by the doors in front of the dumpsters. Two cars have been bumped. THIS IS THE ONLY WARNING TO BE
GIVEN!
The City
runs both a fall/winter/spring adult indoor program at the Layfayette School Complex as well as a summer adult program at
the Municipal Sand Volleyball Courts located behind the tennis complex on Atlantic
Avenue between Suffolk and Somerset
Avenues.
The Indoor
programs consist of an adult coed league program that plays on Tuesday nights with four division: AA, A, BB, B. Play starts in October and ends with playoffs in April.
The City also has a Friday night Open Play program for pickup play. There
is also a 8 week spring coed 4’s program on Monday nights that runs in April and May.
There is an awards banquet that follows the indoor season playoffs in May where the winning division teams, team MVP’s
and division MVP’s are recognized.
The Summer
program also runs as a coed adult program with the same four divisions. The League
starts the Tuesday after Memorial Day and finishes with playoffs at the end of August.
The site is unique as the City’s municipal volleyball courts are lighted and play continues to 10:30 pm. There is an awards banquet for the Summer season as well.
The City
requires a liability waiver from each participant on file.
The City of Ventnor also supports and sponsors the Toys For Tots Volleyball Tournament
that takes place the first Saturday in December.
