How GFR Got Started

I started researching my family over 10 years ago to help my dad.  He has been researching for over 30 years.  Together we had a lot of information but we didn't have any documents.  We had copies of church records and that those copies were hand written.

I went online, like everyone else to see what I could find.  I found if I used my credit card I could get free trial offers, documents, and most information for a fee.  I wanted documents but not enough to use my credit card online.

Years later I found a Genealogist who was researching my family and he sent me by email 2 census documents.  I read those and wanted more.  I am now the proud owner of over 200 census documents.  I have a census documents for almost everyone of my family members and their family members and so on.

I had to use my credit card online and pay a small fortune for those census documents.  I wished there was a website that would do all the research for me, find the documents I needed, would only charge a small fee, and I could pay by check.  Sounds to good to be true.  At that time it was.

That is how GFR was born.  Since I couldn't find a website like this out there I created it.   So now other people can enjoy free information, get 2 free documents if I can't anything more, have the option of getting copies of their documents with out having to pay a small fortune.

I hope you enjoy this service.  If you can think of any way I can make this service better or just have a suggestion or maybe even a story of your own email me I'd love to hear from you.
