Q. Mike S. asked, "In your freview for the 8700c
Fortte Open Face PDA Case(http://www.blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=30090&highlight=fortte+case+review), I noticed in one picture that the desktop looks awfully different than the standard that
comes from cingular. I have been looking for an operating system update for my 8700c but have yet to find anything. Do you
know of any operating system updates, or perhaps theme updates that could help me attain that desktop layout? thanks!"
A. Mike, what you're seeing in that picture is the "Zen" theme. You can read all about how to
upgrade to the OS which contains that theme and others here:

Q. Desmond Jones asked, "I purchased a lateral case from fortte for the bb8700.
My question is when its in the case will it go into holster mode?"
A. The answer is yes. The Fortte lateral case DOES have a built in sleeper magnet which engaes the 8700's
holster mode when the device is inserted.
If it isn't working make sure you are placing the 8700 into the case with the screen facing the back of the case.
Q. johj40 asked "I just got my 8700g and would like to know if I can use my 7290 leather
case for my 8700? I was wondering about the magnets being in the right place."
A. It should work. The 8700 does fit into cases made for the 7290 although not perfect. There are plenty
of people using the 7290 cases with their 8700. However, my advice would be to invest in one of the new 8700 cases.
You'll be happier.
Q. CBrown asked "My friend has a clear hard plastic case for the treo 650. Any chance
of finding one for the 8700?"
A. I haven't seen any clear plastic cases for the 8700 yet. I do know Seidio is working on a skin style case
and it should be out very soon. There is a company callled Javo Edge who makes clear plastic cases for various devices,
including the Blackberry, but they currently don't have one available for the 8700. Perhaps you could shoot them an
e-mail and ask if they have plans to ever come out with one.
Q. Ian asked if I had an in depth review of the 8700c itself?
A. I actually don't Ian. I guess I didn't do one since the device has been out for a while now
and there's quite a few good reviews floating around. I just decided to stick with accessories and software. Thanks
for the positive feedback.
