Your Wedding Passion

For All of Your Wedding Needs

Did you know that the first two years of a marriage set the standard for the rest of the marriage?

That's why it is important to spend time before your wedding discussing everything from cooking and cleaning, to finances.  The better prepared you are before the wedding, the more likely your marriage will be a success.  You can discuss these things ahead of time on your own, or choose to see a pre-marriage councilor or mediator before your big day.

Did you know the average bride and groom put in more than 450 hours planning their wedding?

That's 11.25 weeks at 40 hours a week.  Most of this time is spent on the wedding reception.  After all this prep work, most brides and grooms spend most of their time at the reception worrying about pleasing their guests and making sure that they have talked to everyone.  This takes away from the purpose of the wedding reception.

Your wedding day is all about YOU.  It is not about your parents, wedding party, or any other guests.  I would encourage you to focus on each other during your wedding.  You can thank everyone for coming later.  Enjoy each other during your wedding.  Flirt with each other, and just have fun together.  This will help set the precedence for your marriage.

If you want to thank all your guests for coming personally, do it at the end of the night right after the last dance, or instead of the last dance.  Your DJ can give you a few great ideas for doing this, and it will only take you 15-25 minutes.  This way you'll be able to spend the night together flirting, dancing, and just having a great time.

Did you know the honeymoon is more than just a vacation?

That's right, the honeymoon is the inaugural event to your marriage.  Some people get married and rush right off to the honeymoon.  Did you know that people used to take the first week or so and do nothing.  In fact different members of the family would take the newlywed couple in for a few days.  The newlywed couple was not allowed to lift a finger around the house, instead they were to relax and prepare for the honeymoon.

The honeymoon is the beginning to a wonderful marriage.  Instead of treating it like a vacation and constantly being on the move to see new things, take time out for each other.  Break the time up with a couple days of just being alone with no agenda.

Enjoy each other.  When your honeymoon is over it won't be so easy to find a couple days at a time to just be alone.  Take advantage of this special time together.
