Call for Papers, Workshops and Roundtables

 

We are seeking one-page abstracts of proposals for the Eleventh Annual John Gardner Conference.  Topics concerning his fiction, non-fiction, operas, drama, poetry, or teaching will be considered.  Also, sessions on teaching his fiction, his methods of teaching, or using his work for creative writing are encouraged.  All abstracts must be received by March 15, 2008.  Presentation length may vary between fifteen and twenty minutes.  Abstracts will be published on the John Gardner Society website at

LAST YEAR, in 2007...
The Starrucca House in Susquehanna PA served as an excellent gathering spot for Gardner afficianados old and new, for a sharing of literary insight and personal reminiscence, for a fine, good time in the tradition of Gardner himself. 

April 21, 2007  The Tenth Annual, 25th Memorial Conference... With a special "In Memory" of Jim Fessenden and Paul Ferguson, born on the same day, missed terribly, the best of the best Gardner enthusiasts.
