Labor Day - and the New Year Ahead
Good morning - and happy Labor Day!
It’s been great to see those buses running again on the roads of Bowdoin, Bowdoinham
and Richmond, and to feel the air becoming crisp with the coming harvest and winter to come.
Among educators and the young, fall is the time for new beginnings. Everything is possible, and our limits no more pressing than a distant horizon.
So it is with politicians. Campaign
season starts up, and no promise seems too remote. But when the reality of January’s
first legislative session kicks in, things change.
My promise to Bowdoin, Bowdoinham and Richmond is to work hard, to strive for fair and responsive government, and to fight
for common-sense solutions rather than partisan ones. This is a promise I can easily keep, because it is who I am. I encourage you to review my four-year record
in the Selectboard minutes, at www.bowdoinham.com.
As you'll note in the legislative agenda on this site, keeping and creating good,
well-paying jobs for tomorrow's workers will be a major focus of my work.
Yours for tomorrow,
Seth

Note: most states have major budget shortfalls. Those that do not are largely states with strong fossil
fuel (TX, AK, WY, WV) or food (IN, SD, OR, WA) based economies.

As your State Representative, I use this site as another way to keep
you informed and to hear from you. I believe strong communication and a willingness to
work across party lines are critical as we work to move Maine forward.
