Many of you have asked how you can support development and the running of Sailonline.org. Becoming a member of Sailonline
Yacht Club, SYC, is a great way to do this! SYC is introduced now at an early stage even though some member benefits are not
yet fully implemented.
Among the benefits of membership are that members will:
- be publicly indicated on the website as member/supporter of the development of the game
- be prioritized by the Sailonline.org servers with faster updates etc during sailing
- be prioritized during registration in races with limited number of boats
- be invited to the SYC championships and other member-only-races
- participate in the member ranking system
The introduction offer is a 12 month membership for €25. Sign up here!

Tuze1 Finishes #1 and #2 in Orno Runt
John Smith had never finished higher than 18th in his thirteen previous SOL races, but almost pulled off a
double win in the Orno Runt races held on March 14th. John is from ______ but seemed to own the waters of the Stockholm
archipelago, finishing #2 in the first Satiurday race and #1 in the impromptu second race.
"It was quite a thrill," says John. "In many ways, just as good as the real thing."
John was well practiced on this course. He also did well on the timed race over the same course earlier in the
week, finishing a close sixth, only ___ seconds off the pace.
The afternoon/evening race was held by popular demand from the SYC members from the Americas who weren't as enthusiastic
about getting up in the wee hours of the morning for the first race. But the short 22 nm race turned unto a 6 1/2 hour
marathon as winds dropped to less than 3 knots at one point.
The next race, with the exception of the ongoing Volvo Ocean Race marathon leg 5 will be next Saturday at 19:30 UTC.
It will be a Pacific Northwest Inshore race from Seattle to Vancouver. Since Seattle is the home of gourmet coffee, perhaps
we will all be enjoying Starbucks instead of beer and barbeque at the finish line?
