Judith C.  “Judy” Cox

     KEYSER, W.Va. – Judith C. “Judy” Cox, 69, of 60 Old Orchard Drive, Keyser, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, after a long courageous battle from a cerebral hemorrhage.

     Born in Keyser on May 30, 1939, she was a daughter of Thelma B. (Nichol) a resident of Heartland of Keyser, and the late Harry Edward Ack.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Kay Musgrove and a brother, David Ack.

     Judy was a longtime local floral designer, as well as a devoted wife and mother.  She was a 1957 graduate of Bruce High School and attended Potomac State College.  Judy was a member of the Keyser Presbyterian Church and the Mineral County Democratic Party.  Her passions were in local politics and enjoying the company of her family and many friends.

     Surviving in addition to her mother, Thelma Ack, are her husband, Robert W. Cox, Sr., of Keyser; her sons Mark Edward Carder of Short Gap, Bill Cox and wife Christine, and Robbie Cox; her grandchildren, Kierstin and Brandon Cox and her brother, Gary E. Ack, Sr. and finance, Carole George of Keyser.   She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Tom Musgrove; a sister-in-law, Debra Lynn Ack and nieces and nephews. 

     At Mrs. Cox’s request, her body was cremated and there will be no visitations or services.

     Arrangements have been entrusted to the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, W.Va.
