Clark H. Eagle

     KEYSER, WV – Clark H. Eagle, 88, of 625 Chestnut Street, Keyser, on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at his residence on Sunday, September 20, 2009.

     Born November 14, 1920 in Keyser, he was a son of the late Harry R. and Margaret (Hodges) Eagle.  He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Eagle and wife Bunny and Robert “Buck” Eagle and sister Margaret Ann LaRue and husband John.

      Mr. Eagle retired from Mineral County School were he had taught and was a former principle.  He was a graduate of Keyser High School, Potomac State College, Shepherd College with a BS degree and West Virginia University with a master’s degree.  He was a U.S. Army WWII veteran.  He was a member of the Boyce Houser Post 41, American Legion, and was an avid football and baseball fan and enjoyed dancing to the Big Bands.

      Surviving are his wife, Martha (Springer) Eagle, his children, Caron Elise Nicely and husband Gary of Sterling, VA, Margo Manning and husband Kevin of New Market, MD, and Martha Krebs of Baltimore, MD; a grandson Matt Manning; a sister Harriet Shallis of Keyser and a sister-in-law Virgie Eagle of Keyser.

     Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
