Brent R. Kesner

     KEYSER, W.Va. – Brent Robert Kesner, 37, of Keyser, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2008, at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.

     Born March 8, 1971, in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of Bob and Katie (Beck) Kesner of Keyser.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Beck, a paternal grandmother, Thelma Kesner and an uncle, Charles Beck, Jr.  

     Brent was a 1989 graduate of Keyser, a 1991 graduate of Potomac State College and attended West Virginia University as a Journalism student.  He was a member of the Church of the Assumption. Brent’s passion in life was sports, especially concerning Michael Jordan and his beloved West Virginia Mountaineers.

    In addition to his parents, Bob and Katie Kesner, he is survived by his sister, Bridget McDonald and husband Rick and his best buddy and 13-month old nephew Charlie McDonald, all of Keyser; his paternal grandfather Robert Kesner, Sr. of Burlington; his aunts and uncles: Melinda Riggleman of Keyser, Barbara Beck of Keyser, Terry Kesner and wife Jeanetta of Burlington and Debby Inskeep and husband Carter of Maysville,   He is also survived by several cousins.

     Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Tuesday, September 16, 2008, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Private family services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 with the Father Ivan M. Lebar, T.O.R. officiating.  Private interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Keyser, W.Va.
