Dr. Donald Lee Kiser

     KEYSER, W.Va. – Dr. Donald Lee Kiser, 83, of Keyser died Wednesday April 22, 2009 at WMHS Memorial Campus, Cumberland, MD.

     Born July 30, 1925 in Keyser, he was a son of the late Charles E. Kiser, Sr. and Maude (Blair) Kiser.  He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

     Dr. Kiser was a prominent dentist for 56 years in Keyser and served many families from childhood to adult life.  He was loved by all his patients and they will sadly miss him.

     He was a 1943 graduate of Keyser High School and graduated from Potomac State College and University of Maryland Dental School.  After graduation from high School, Don went into the U.S. Army and later served with the Navy reserves.  He was a member of Grahamtown Assembly of Christians Church, Grahamtown, MD and a Past President of the Keyser Rotary Club.  He was also an avid hunter.

           Surviving are his wife Patricia (Shields) Kiser; his two sons, Christopher Kiser and wife Catherine of Mount Joy, PA and Keith Kiser and wife Juanita of Glendale, AZ; four grandchildren Brian Christopher Kiser and wife Michelle of Harrisburg, PA, Denise Marie Kiser of Ft. Myers, FL, Phillip Lee Kiser and fiancé Christa Miller of Conewago, MD and Emily Jo Douglas and husband Travis of Chino Valley, AZ and two great-grandchildren, Caleb Christopher Kiser and Hannah Michelle Kiser.

     Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Saturday, April 25, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday, April 26, 2009, at 2 p.m. with James Reel and Dennis Morris officiating.

     Interment will follow in Queen’s Point Cemetery, Keyser.
