KEYSER, W.Va.
- Jackson “Jack” W. Kitzmiller, 74, of Goshen,
Indiana, formerly of Keyser, died
at his home on Saturday morning, May 24, 2008.
Born in Elk Garden, W.Va.
on July 16, 1933, he was the son of the late Perry and Delphia
(Pancake) Kitzmiller. He was also
preceded in death by two sisters, Marjorie Gummo and
Marilyn “Babs” Brewster.
Mr. Kitzmiller moved to Goshen 30 years ago. He owned and operated KICO, an independent
supplier for the RV industry. A U.S.
Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a graduate of Elk Garden High School and
Potomac State College with an AA Degree in Engineering. Jack was a life member
of the Queen’s Point VFW Post 6775 of McCoole,
MD and the Kelley Mansfield
American Legion Post 52 of Piedmont, W.Va.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years,
Beverly (Moore) Kitzmiller; his two daughters, Keli Brown
and husband Charles Robert of Camden, South Carolina, and Krista Best and
husband Alan of Rootstown, Ohio; his son, Scott W. Kitzmiller of Bristol,
Indiana; his grandsons, Kyle Kitzmiller and Kohl Kitzmiller; his
granddaughters, Brooklyn and Jordan Best and his former wife Joan C.
Marker. He is also survived by nieces
and nephews, Wilma Lee and Henry “Slim” Johnson of Centre, Ala.,
James R. Davis and Karen of Elk Garden, and Delbert and Edie Davis of Haines City, Fla.
Friends will be received Thursday, May 29
from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser. A graveside
service will be held Friday, May 30, 2008 at 11 a.m. in Potomac Memorial
Gardens, Keyser with the
Reverend James A. McCune officiating.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery.
