Ennis C. McDonald

     KEYSER, W.Va. - Ennis C. McDonald, 74, formerly of 24 Virginia Avenue, Keyser, died on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Heartland of Keyser.

     Born on August 10, 1935, in Cumberland, MD., she was a daughter of the late Anna (Beckwith) Simms.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Kenneth M. McDonald on January 25, 1996, her adopted parents that raised her, William W. and Elizabeth Stewart and their son, Wayne M. Stewart and a brother Clarence Beckwith.

     Mrs. McDonald was a former foster parent at Burlington Children's Home.  She was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church and the Washington-Smith American Legion Post 152 Auxiliary.

     Surviving are her daughter Holly E. McDonald of Almonte Springs, Fla; her son Mark McDonald of Keyser; her granddaughter Rosalind McDonald; her sister, Greta Anderson of Glen Burnie, MD; her mother-in-law Emma L. McDonald of League, TX; and her sister-in-law Thelma Stewart of Morgantown.

     Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser on Friday, August 28, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.   

     Burial Office with Holy Communion will be celebrated on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church with Bishop Martin Townsend as celebrant.

     Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Cumberland, MD.
