Brian C. Moorehead

McCOOLE, MD – Brian C. Moorehead, 41, of McCoole, died on Thursday, April 30, 2009, at his residence.

Born on November 21, 1967 in Keyser, WV, he was a son of Darrell and Beverly (Brown) Carder of McCoole and Russell R. Moorehead of Westernport, MD. He was also preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Russell & Mary Louise Moorehead and step grandmother, Mary Carder.

Brian was a graduate of Bruce High School and Fire Service Schools and an employee of the Maintenance Department at Potomac State College. He was a member of Danville Church of Brethren and Keyser Volunteer Fire Department where he was a faithful bingo worker. He was an avid trout fisherman.

Surviving in addition to his parents, Darrell and Beverly Carder and Russell Moorehead, are his sisters Amy Moorehead of McCoole and Mishawn Binci and husband Robert of Westernport; step brother Michael Lee Carder and wife Stacy of Hagerstown, MD; maternal grandparents, Robert and Betty Brown of McCoole; a special friend, Stacey Malone of New Creek and special nephew and niece, Tyler and Tessa Redman.

Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Sunday, May 3, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the Danville Church of the Brethren, Route 220, Danville, MD, on Monday, May 4, 2009, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Sheri Ziler officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services.

Interment will follow in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, WV.

Keyser Volunteer Fire Department will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Sunday at 8 p.m.
