Grace V. Schwinabart
NEW CREEK,
Born January 19, 1916 in Nethkin, W.V, she was a daughter of the late Solomon and Bertie Ann (Riggleman) Simmons. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Allison Schwinabart on December 3, 1990 and a son, Robert Schwinabart on December 23, 1993; two brothers, Theodore and Oscar Simmons; three sisters, Hazel Stonebraker, Mary Tuel and Alice Iman. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
A homemaker, Grace was a lifetime member
of the Elk Garden Church of God.
Survivors include three sons, Dale Schwinabart
of Philomoth, Oregon, Richard Harold Schwinabart and wife Vivian of Bowling
Green, MD, David Schwinabart and wife April of Elk Garden; two daughters, Louise Elliott and husband Tom of Cumberland
and Patty Evans and husband Lee of Elk Garden; ten grandchildren: Dean
Schwinabart and wife Darla of Oregon, Troy Schwinabart of Oregon, Rhonda
Schwinabart of Bowling Green, Thomas Elliott and wife Tammy of Morgantown,
Tamara Lowry and husband David of Frostburg, James Elliott and wife Jennifer of
Kearneysville, WV, Tonya Lough and husband Scott of Mt. Storm, Scott Evans and
wife Alyssa of Mt. Storm, Tabitha Jones and husband David of Elk Garden, and Cassi
Schwinabart of Elk Garden. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren: Devin
and Alyssa Schwinabart of Oregon, Cecelia Elliott of Morgantown, Lucas and
Collin Lowry of Frostburg, Grace Elliott of Kearneysville, Dalton and Hunter
Lough of Mt. Storm, Caleb and Haley Evans of Mt. Storm, Allison and Logan Jones
of Elk Garden and two step great-grandchildren, Marisa and Carson Steiner of
Kearneysville.
Friends will be received at the Markwood
Funeral Home, Keyser on Monday, April 27, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p
m.
Services will be held at Markwood Funeral
Home, Keyser on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Donald
Marple officiating.
Interment will follow in
