Jacqueline “Jackie” Shears

     KEYSER, WV – Jacqueline “Jackie” Dolores Shears, 66, of Keyser, died on Friday, August 7, 2009, at Winchester Medical Center.

     Born on November 14, 1942, in Keyser, she was a daughter of the late James Thomas and Ella Catherine (See) Wolfe.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Otis Shears, a brother Richard “Snuffy” Wolfe and a sister, Norma Ella Jeannette Wolfe.

     Jackie was a homemaker and a 1963 graduate of Keyser High School where she was a member of the 1963 State Basketball Championship.

     Surviving are her five sons, Roger William Simmons and wife Lisa of Keyser, Gary Allen Simmons and wife Janie of Keyser, Robert Wayne Shears of Sarasota, FL, Geoffrey Frank Shears and wife Patti of Cumberland, MD and Kevin Scott Shears of Keyser; five step-children, Gary Shears, Gig Shears, Darla Shears, Darcy Shears and Debbie Shears; three brothers, Vernon Wayne “Conzzi” Wolfe of Keyser and Marshall Douglas “Doug” Wolfe and wife Frances of Keyser and Gene Ronald Wolfe.  She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, Ashley Simmons, Nicole Simmons, Wesley Simmons, Emily Simmons, William Simmons, Bradley Simmons, Jessica Shears, Ariel Shears, Emma Shears and Tobee Shears, Lauren Garlitz, David Garlitz, Jr., Deanna Shears, Jordan Shears, Jared Shears, Kierstan Shears, Brianna Shears, Kevin Shears, Jr, Brandi Shears; and three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Malayna and London McElvie.

      Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 12, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  Funeral Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Thomas Roatch officiating.

      Interment will follow in Queen’s Point Cemetery, Keyser.
