Lillian E. Thorn

KEYSER, W.Va. - Lillian E. Thorn, 87, a resident of Heartland of Keyser and formerly of 500 Carskadon Lane, Keyser, died on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.

Born July 6, 1922 in Lahmansville, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Harry H. Iman and Evalena (Lantz) Iman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Thorn; seven brothers and three sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Thorn was a homemaker. She was a member of the Keyser Church of the Brethren and the VFW Post 3518 Nancy Hanks Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are her sons: Donald P. Thorn and wife, Carolyn of Oakland, MD and Gary D. Thorn and wife, Beverly of New Creek and three grandchildren: Jennifer Bentlejewski and husband Jeff of Friendsville, MD, Ryan Thorn of New Creek and Trenton Thorn of Miami, FL.

Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Friday, September 25, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Dwight Ramsey officiating.

Interment will follow in Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, W.Va.
