
DOROTHY P. WILLIAMS
KEYSER, W.Va.
– Dorothy P. “Doll” Williams, 81, of Keyser, West Virginia passed away Thursday May 22, 2008 at the
Frostburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Frostburg,
Maryland.
Born in Lonaconing, Maryland,
September 1, 1926, she was the daughter of Arthur T. Poland and Elizabeth Sloan
Poland.
She was preceded in her death by her husband of 61 years Oliver D. “O.D.”
Williams and her brother Raymond Poland.
Doll was a
graduate of Central High School, Lonaconing, and worked as a Realtor with
Goodfellow Agency in Cumberland,
Maryland. She was also part
owner of Keyser Carpet Corner until her retirement. She was a member of the
Keyser Presbyterian Church, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the McCoole VFW Post
6775 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is
survived by a daughter, Pamela Williams Havens; son-in-law Karl Havens and
grandson Andrew Havens of Gainesville,
Florida; a son, George O.
Williams; daughter-in-law Gayle Williams and grandchildren Matthew and Claire
Williams of Keyser; and brothers Paul Poland and Samuel Poland.
Friends
will be received at Markwood Funeral Home in Keyser on Saturday, May 24, 2008
from 4 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Markwood Funeral
Home on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at 2 p.m. Reverend Ernest L. Poland, Jr.
will be officiating with interment to follow at the Philos
Cemetery in Westernport, Maryland.

memorial contributions may be made in memory of Doll Williams to the
Alzheimer’s Association, 1299 Pineview Dr., Suite 3, Morgantown,
WV 26505.
