We offer a variety of services to provide you with comprehensive dental care that suits your specific dental needs. We value your time and strive to remain on schedule so that you have little or no wait at our office.

Below are just a few of our services. We focus on quality dental care, preventive care, and cosmetic dentistry. If you have any questions, please call us at 610-867-1855.

Preventive Dentistry

Regular cleanings and examinations - For most patients, we recommend a cleaning and examination every six months. At this appointment, you will meet with our hygienist and Dr. Wiesner to review your oral health. We will screen for oral cancer and periodontal disease as well as tooth decay. We also recommend yearly x-rays to our patients. At this appointment, the doctor will discuss further treatment or cosmetic work with you.

Periodontal maintenance - Healthy gingival tissue is very important to a patient's overall health. There is a proven link between periodontal disease and major health concerns such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. In addition to these concerns, healthy gums also promote a better appearance and fresh breath. We are concerned in promoting the overall health of our patients, and we treat periodontitis and gingivitis through routine maintenance as well as additional periodontal care when needed.

Child cleaning and examination - For children, we recommend fluoride treatments at regular six month exams. Our fluoride comes in several flavors and gel or foam, offering your child a more comfortable experience. We also have a variety of flavors for the paste used during the cleaning. We take great care to help your child have a positive dental experience. You can even bring your young children with you during your cleanings to get them more accustomed to the dental office.

Sealants - Once your child has permanent molars, we recommend sealants to help prevent tooth decay. Sealants are made of a tooth-colored filling material, and they are inserted into the grooves of your child's teeth where bacteria and food can easily get caught. This procedure does not involve drilling and is painless for your child.

NTI Nightguards - Our office can fabricate NTI nightguards to protect your teeth from grinding and bruxism. Many people grind and clench their teeth without even knowing it, especially while they sleep. If you experience headaches or jaw pain when you wake in the morning, you may grind or clench your teeth. Grinding and clenching can contribute to broken or cracked teeth and worsening periodontal conditions. Dr. Wiesner can assess your teeth and jaw for wear and damage. NTI nightguards are newly designed appliances that prevent you from damaging your teeth and gums. They are also FDA certified for the treatment of migraines.

We want you to have a healthy smile, and we try to educate our patients on home care. We take the time to explain to you what we can do to help your smile, as well as what you can do on your own.

Basic Dentistry

To maintain and save your teeth, we have a variety of options available to you.

Amalgam (metal) fillings - We offer all of our patients quality amalgam fillings. This appointment usually lasts less than one half hour. We provide novocaine or nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for your comfort.

Composite (tooth-colored) fillings - We use tooth-colored fillings for all visible fillings in the mouth. In addition, we offer all of our patients the option of having all of their fillings be tooth-colored.

Crowns - If a tooth can no longer support a restorative filling, we can offer the solution of a crown to keep your tooth intact. We use precious metals and porcelain in the fabrication of the crowns. We can also make full gold crowns. When aesthetics are a primary concern, we can offer full porcelain crowns for a natural look. Our primary goal is to keep your teeth healthy to last you a lifetime while also keeping your smile natural.

Root canals - If you experience a toothache, we may try a medicated filling for the tooth to prevent the need for a root canal. For those teeth that do not respond to a medicated filling or are unsavable, we provide root canals. We take every measure to ensure your comfort during the procedure. We may also work with a root canal specialist to complete your treatment.

Periodontal care - For those patients who need additional treatment for periodontitis and gingivitis, we offer scaling and root planing. We may also work as a team with a periodontist to achieve optimum care for these patients.

Extractions - We do everything we can to save your teeth. Sometimes a tooth cannot be saved, and Dr. Wiesner may perform the needed extraction. We may also work with an oral surgeon to complete your extraction treatment.

Implants - Since 1989, we have been offering implants to replace missing teeth. By inserting a post-like implant into your jaw, a replacement tooth can be added to your mouth. These teeth look and function like a natural tooth. Implants can also be used to secure consistently loose dentures. We work as a team with an oral surgeon and periodontist to complete your implant treatment.

Fixed bridges - We can also replace a missing tooth with a fixed bridge. Similar to a crown, a bridge covers and uses an adjacent tooth as support for a new tooth to be placed in the space.

Partial or full dentures - We offer partial or full removable dentures to our patients. Dr. Wiesner will custom fabricate your dentures for a snug and comfortable fit. He hand-selects the shade and teeth to complement your facial features, and you are part of those decisions throughout the process.

Partial or full denture repair - We can repair some broken partials and dentures in one day, allowing you to function without the extended loss of your denture. We will work with your schedule to find the most convenient time for such repairs. If you are having trouble with your denture being loose or falling, we can reline your denture or fabricate an implant that will secure your denture.

Cosmetic Dentistry

We can help you improve the look of your smile. The appearance of your mouth is always a priority in our office.

Composite (tooth-colored) fillings - We use tooth-colored fillings for all visible fillings in the mouth. In addition, we offer all of our patients the option of having all of their fillings be tooth-colored. Dr. Wiesner can also shape your fillings to create a more appealing smile. If you have a specific concern, Dr. Wiesner would gladly discuss it with you.

Full porcelain crowns - These crowns blend well with the shade and appearance of other teeth when a visible tooth needs to be crowned.

Veneers - Porcelain or composite veneers can be placed on the fronts of your visible teeth to improve the shade and shape of your teeth.

Full mouth bleaching - For an overall whiter smile, we offer at home bleaching kits. We use Colgate Platinum Gentle Plus Professional Whitening System. This system is designed for you to wear at night in thin and flexible custom-made trays. It is gentle enough to prevent sensitivity as well. We will monitor your whitening in the office to ensure you the results you desire.

Individual tooth bleaching - If you have only one or a few teeth that you would like lightened to match your other teeth, we can address these more centralized stains with in-office individual tooth bleaching.

Orthodontic treatment - Dr. Wiesner is fully accredited for orthodontic treatment. If you would like a minor adjustment to your tooth alignment, Dr. Wiesner can work with you to make those changes.
