The By-Laws that were drawn up and approved at the end of last season are available to all .They are posted
on the website, on the forms page (just click on By-Laws tab to download). They are being e-mailed to all members with addresses
on file, and are being posted on the bulletin board in the clubhouse. 
We currently have two vacancies on the Dolphins Parent's Board. This is due to a vacancy from
last year, and the resignation of the standing Secretary this week. In accordance with the By-Laws that were ratified by the Board
at the end of last year, we will fill these vacancies by special election. In light of the planning for championship, it is
in the team's best interest to have a full board acting and making decisions. This election will be held on Saturday
July 11th in the open pavilion following the home meet. In accordance with the By-Laws a quorum of 20% of the membership
must be present for validation. That number is currently sixteen voting members (based on registered swimmers and two voters
per family). Nominations will be open to the floor for a reasonable period of time after which they will be closed. If there
are more than two eligible nominees, an election will be held by either hand vote or paper ballot. If there are
two or less eligible nominees, than the nominee or nominees will be considered elected. This notice will be posted on
the bulletin board in the clubhouse, sent to all e-mail addresses on file, and posted on the Dolphin's website. This
notice is in accordance with existing By-Laws.
The results of the special election to fill the vacant Board seats was conducted as scheduled on
7/11 following the meet. Two names were placed into nomination. There were no other nominees, and as per the by-laws both
nominees were considered elected on an interim basis, until the regular election in September. The two interim Board members
are Thea Schatzle and Joann Scala. the Board will meet to decide the respective offices they will occupy.
