Six Degrees is a competitive Volleyball Team currently playing at the Volleyball House in Elkridge, MD.  We are currently playing at the Men's A level on Tuesday nights in addition to tournament play.  We intend to compete at a higher level in the future.  To acheive this, we have built this team with a mix of high level experienced players as well as several less experienced players who posess the athletic ability and potential to eventually compete at the level we wish to acheive.  This has created an outstanding team chemistry that has allowed us to grow and develop faster than we anticipated.  Our veteran players have provided the coaching and advise needed for our less experienced players to develop their skills. 
 
We will continue to work hard and we will never stop trying to get better.  For this reason, we are certain that we will acheive the highest level of play possible and keep this thing together for years to come!

Our Brief History...

  • August 23, 2007:  Initial emails to the original team go out inviting you guys to play.
  • August 26, 2007:  Original team is born:  Sean Porter, Lito Lizardo, Sean King, Travis Burruss, Maria Burruss, Ryan Manaloto & Dave Conde.
  • September 5, 2007:  The name “6 Degrees of Annihilation” is suggested by Sean King.  The players agree to that name and our team has it’s identity!
  • September 5, 2007:  6 Degrees is swept in three games by “Hot Shots” in our team debut.  
  • September 12, 2007:  Our first win comes against “No Hesitation”.
  • October 12, 2007:  Original member, Sean King announces he will not be able to continue playing…addition by subtraction!
  • October 24, 2007:  End of our first session…sadly, we did not qualify for the playoffs.
  • October 24, 2007:  Ian Haber agrees to join our team.
  • November 14, 2007:  Emmett Irwin agrees to join our team.
  • January 16, 2008:      We qualify for the playoffs for the 1st time.
  • January 18, 2008:  Maria & Travis Burruss announce they will be moving away.
  • January 23, 2008:  We finish 2nd to “Daggers” in the BB playoffs…the decision is made to move to BBB.
  • January 29, 2008:   6 Degrees is swept in 3 games by “TCB” in our BBB debut.
  • February 5, 2008:  Our first BBB win comes against “Set2Kill”.
  • February 9, 2008:  6 Degrees is the “B” champion in the team's 1st ever tournament.
  • February 9, 2008:  Travis Burruss plays his last game with our team.
  • February 18, 2008:  Ron Swann agrees to join our team.
  • February 26, 2008:  Maria Burruss plays her last game with our team.
  • March 18, 2008:  6 Degrees qualifies for the playoffs in our first session in BBB!
  • March 18, 2008:  Ryan Manaloto announces he is leaving the team.
  • March 18, 2008:  Adam Bocek agrees to join our team.
  • March 24, 2008:  Carlito Mitchell agrees to join our team.
  • April 2, 2008:  Ryan Manaloto plays his last game with our team.
  • April 2, 2008:  6 Degrees finishes the season with a 16-0 win streak.
  • April 2, 2008:  6 Degrees is the VB House BBB League Champion!
