RMTG Artistic Director Tal Aviezer's students explore the basics of acting in a classroom/theater environment. Emphasis is
placed on gaining an understanding of the actor’s instruments and tools: voice, movement, breath, memory, and sense.
The course will also include an overview of theater terminology and theatrical styles, and encourage student/actors to begin
to develop a technique for working within the context of a theatrical performance.
Over the course of the
lessons, students focus on body awareness, cooperative physical storytelling and problem-solving, in-class presentations,
observation of a professional rehearsal, Q&A with guest artists, creating visual examples of themes and concepts, monologues
and scenes from modern and classical texts, theatrical terminology, and a final public workshop presentation.
