Skyway Today is a donation program for the $5 philanthropist. It's based on the premise that many of us would gladly
give a few minutes of our time and a few dollars if we knew it could actually affect someone or something we care about. By
joining together with other people who are passionate about the same things we are, we can make a meaningful difference.
Now in its third year, the Skyway Festival has become a full day of music to raise money for the next generation
of artists and musicians in our community. Local Hamilton and regional Central New York musicmakers give of their time and
talents to ensure that future students of music and the arts at Hamilton Central School have the resources they need to pursue
their artistic studies and vision in honor and memory of one of their own - Hamilton rocker Craig Getchonis. Skyway Festival
performers are passionate about what they do. They care deeply about music and they are making a meaningful difference in
the lives of students wishing to pursue their interest in music and the arts.
Skyway Today is a donation program that
aims at connecting what is happening here at the local level with a wider world of people like you and others that share our
passion and believe in the importance of giving young people the tools they need to follow their hearts as they study music
and the arts.
The goal of Skyway Today is simple. We are asking the $5 philanthropist to join with us in raising an initial goal
of $2000.00. In return for a donation and email address each donor will be able to login to a password protected page where
they can check the progess of the fund and have a democratic say in how the fund is allocated toward a specific need for HCS
students of music and the arts. Together we can make a meaningful difference.
