These Ukers were spotted recently by The Flea in Cranston, RI singing, strumming, and chowing
down on some great BBQ. Newest members of the group include Monica, a twenty-something medical student who
has been playing for a month, and Ed, an eighty-something longtime uker with a large repertoire of naughty and nice ditties.

Jake Shimabukuro played a thirty minute set at Borders in downtown Providence in June. Every
seat was filled and more. Uke players left either dazzled and psyched about practicing new techniques, or more
likely discouraged and depressed about their own abilities and looking to donate their old ukes to a good cause.
