The Ukulele Society of Connecticut (USOC) helped out the Salvation Army on December 10th. The
group, led by Geoffrey Rezek, played an assortment of Christmas songs as Captain Guzman rang his bell and tended his kettle.
Patrons of this Norwalk, Connecticut WalMart also enjoyed a rare interpretation of "Amazing Grace" complete with ukuleles
and a bagpipe. Perhaps this act of charity will come back to the USOC in the form of additional members. Rezek
(who has a stated goal of 1 million USOC members) tells The Flea "There was one particular 2 year old who
holding her Mom’s hand just watched and stared in wonder at us through two songs; I think we may have created a future
Ukulele player." -The Flea
