Things were hopping when The Flea
showed up at the latest Ukulele Noir event......this time at The Amazing Things Arts Center in Framingham, MA. The Noiristas played a sold out show and fans that showed up late were turned away at the door. The venue
was a bit different for Ukulele Noir as this is an arts center and the usual dark, "noirish" atmosphere, was replaced by an
intimidating painting of a bright sun behind the stage. Emcee, Craig Robertson, referred to the performance as "Ukulele Soleil."
Hardest of all on the Noiristas was the fact that this was an alcohol-free venue.
Still, it was a comfortable, intimate venue with a very appreciative audience. Almost every
seat remained filled from 8:00 PM until midnight. Cast members for this show included Craig Robertson, Greg Hawkes,
Tim Mann, Davis Sweet, Marshall Racowsky, John Hicks, Mark Occhionero, Gary Moebus, and Melvern Taylor and the Fabulous
Meltones. Big news.....The Flea heard whispers that Melvern and his Meltones just signed with a national
management company! Watch for the CD release soon. -The
