During the early 1970's my Wife's boss was the proud part owner of the Lindo, a wooden schooner built in 1929 in Denmark. . I had the pleasure of sailing aboard her on two occassions she came into New York City for refitting.
The high cost of maintaining the ship forced its owners to sell the ship. Its fate from there took a sad turn with the new owner.  See the link below.
