Foyle's War
An intriguing series of mysteries on DVD's starring British Actor Michael
Kitchen as Detective Chief Superintendent Christopher Foyle. The setting is England at the beginning of World War II.
Since the outbreak of the war Foyle has been requesting leave from his position to join Britain's intelligence campaign against
the Nazis. His wishes are always overridden by the exigencies of his police duties when he is continually called on to solve
crimes that are connected to the undercurrent of wartime international politics. If you're accustomed to the "blood and guts"
war movies of the day, this may seem slow moving to you, in the typical, understated British way. But the plot
and characters in all of the "Foyle" DVD,s are attention grabbers, and will hold on to you right to the endings.
