First off Happy Holidays to all! We were blessed enough to have safe travels, great food, warm hugs, and family over
the Christmas holiday.
Liam had a little party at Anna's daycare. Anna got Liam some socks and a neat race car. Liam got Anna a book about La
Bofana, who Italian boys and girls celebrate Christmas over, and a pretty garden ornament that matches her glass storm door.
We stretched the holiday over three days as Santa was an early arrival at our house making a very brief pitstop at our
house on the 23rd as he headed to Australia. Liam had just set out cookies and milk with Dad when he went to get his bath
with Momma. While up in his room putting on his pajamas he heard sleigh bells and a hearty HoHoHo downstairs. Momma said he
was very wide eyed about it as I just happened to be working on the computer at the time and missed St. Nick myself.
When we went downstairs surely enough he must have been there. There were new presents under te tree and most of the
cookie was gone as was the milk. Liam used the word "open" quite a bit as he got a block set, a Thomas Train Set, A race car
set, and a few other items from Santa.
We then enjoyed watching the dogs open their presents of new bones and toys. spoiled little Rita got a new pink color
with her name from her Daddy.
As Liam played with toys Erin and I exchanged gifts. Liam got his Momma a Sock Monkey Gorilla and got me a really
cool ATC Simulator for the PC as well as an old fashioned football game that is quite fun.
Erin got me some neat items such as a most needed new belt, a good book, lots of geocaching stuff, and even had a weight
set hiding out in the truck for me. Erin enjoyed the maternity wear, her Boduran drum, a bracelet, and a couple of other items
too.
It was a nice evening. We then began to organize a bit for the trip to Pennsylvania and hit the hay.
The next day we had great travel! Nice warm weather and very sparse traffic. I was very glad we waiting until Christmas
eve morning to head out. The only downer was Liam's persistant cough was back and we left his real medicine at home. We did
stop at a drug store and get him some over the counter relief. When we arrived at my Mom's after picking Noah up we decided
to let Liam rest with Grandmom. They visited with the neighbors as Mom loves showing him off. Noah, Erin, and I went to a
park in Warrington for a hike in the afternoon sun to find a couple of geocaches.
When we arrived back we had a great meal of Gross's Fried Chicken which is a place in Doylestown I miss. Some of the
best Fried Chicken there is. Russ then finished icing the cupcakes Mom baked as Mom and Erin got Liam bathed and in his jammies.
He was starting to run a bit of a fever so the poor guy was definitely getting sick.
We all enjoyed opening presents. Mom got some new sheets, A Caroler doll and some books from Noah a few other items.
Erin got a new pie plate from Noahand Mom spoiled her with lots of gifts. I got some cool Travel Bugs the next day from Noah
as they got lost in his bag (LOL). Mom got me much needed socks and colognes. Noah got a Vocal Processor and Wireless transmitter
and some Studio related books. Poor Liam did not make it through all the gift opening. He did get to see one of the Boohbahs
Noah got him and took it to bed. We finished opening Liam's gifts appropriately on Christmas morning.

After opening gifts and getting ready we traveled down to Kate and Riches who were hosting the Day family Christmas
this year. Mom and Dad Day had arrived the day before and had been to Christmas Eve service with Kate and Rich the night before.
The Turkey was cooking in the oven and Kate and Mom Day were busy preparing the Christmas meal. The house was warm and cozy
with the smells of baking and the fireplace lit.
Dinner was wonderful. The turkey was moist and tasty. All the fixins were enough to make us all content, full, and
ready to open presents.
Everyone spoiled each other this year. The living room was covered in presents. We all had a good time opening presents
and enjoying watching each other open gifts. I got to be one of the Santas this year tagteaming with Mom Day to hand out the
gifts. Dad was tricked and so was Kate as she thought she got Scotch which was really Candles. Dad did end up getting some
Scotch from Kate and Rich and us so he was happy in the end. Kate got some really great clothes. Erin did too as well as a
new sling that we will both use for the baby on the way. Rich and Noah enjoyed their books as did I. I got a kick out of the
hat Brian and Jo got me. Mom Day got some really nice clothes and another Buyer's Choice Doll. Like I said everyone spoiled
each other. It was a very Merry Christmas. Thanks to all for EVERYTHING!

Poor Liam made it through the day but only barely napping quite a bit of the day as his Grandparents really helped out
with him. He got a Tonka Truck, books, A Thomas playset and a wooden train among many presents. Gramma also got a goat in
Liams name and Kate also did the same for LLamas. Besides gifts to each other, they were thoughtful enough to give to others
in this season to be thankful.
We got to talk to everyone in Wyoming as Dawn spent Christmas with Brian and Jo. Besides Gus getting quilled by a porcupine,
everything else out there was great. They had the same spoiling us comments that went both directions over the phone. The
guys settled into a movie, The Fifth Element, as the women went upstairs to talk while Liam napped again. Alas the day
got away from us. We had so much fun that even the Tatania and Obie were pooped. We bid adieu with well wishes and hugs. These
precious times just don't last long enough.
We arrived at Mom's and she got home about fifteen minutes later from Katherine and Bill's. They had a nice evening and
we all caught up on the day for about an hour. Mom also opened the gift from Brain and Jo. She LOVED the doll. She just raved
over it. That was very thoughtful! Thanks!
The next morning though we were getting ready to pack the truck and Mom was sick. She would not be making the trip. We
were all down about it but with the developments of today it was perhaps a good thing. Liam continued to be sick and run fevers
yesterday. He perked up a little to play with Noah and I with his new toys but not for long. After a thorough diagnosis with
a culture and blood test Liam has Strep Throat. We apologize to ALL! We did not know it has the symptoms literally occured
as we drove up. So Erin is home today with the poor little guy. Noah is going to try and do a shift with him tomorrow after
Erin goes over what we ALL have to do to be careful not to catch it. I will take the Thursday shift. Noah brought his
equipment down so him and I are going to try and mix some samples of me on the Congas and various percussion and keyboards
and him on bass. We will do that on Thursday and Friday providing that Liam is feeling better.
It was a very special Christmas! Thanks to all and we hope that Liam and my Mom get better real soon.

December 16-20
The week seemed to drag on and on. So much was happening,
and I was up to my elbows in pie crust and green bean casserole for the various holiday functions. We were stressed to receive an anticipated package for Wyoming, and annoyed with a problem with the title
for the Saturn. Needless to say, when quittin’ time came on Friday we couldn’t
get off the base fast enough!
Friday evening was really special. We planned to go to a local
horse farm’s open house. It’s the place with all the Christmas lights, if you’d
been able to go with us in the past. This place is a wonder. They not only deck the place out with oblivion, but they also open up their barns that are full of interesting
collections. It’s like a museum. There’s
also a little craft/bake shop, and all the barns are open so the animals can be petted.
As luck would have it, another couple with a little girl about Liam’s age, suggested we all go together. We met at Bear Creek for some pit BBQ first, and then journeyed over to the farm. The kids were adorable with all the animals.
Liam especially liked the horses, and even got to pet their velvety noses – and still kept all his fingers!!

Then we mosied around the neighborhoods looking at all the decorations.
Once home, we settled in together to watch a Biography of Santa Claus movie that we’d gotten from Netflix. It was really interesting. The night was a true family night,
and one that we’ll cherish with the memories of the season.
On Saturday, we got around to just run a couple of morning errands to the bank, the MVA title place, and
the Post Office. We also picked up a few groceries after having lunch at CiCi’s
Pizza joint. That afternoon, we just chilled out and then got ready to go to
my new company’s Christmas Open House at my boss’s house. We were both a bit
shy about going seeing that we knew no one, but figured that we did have to go and at least make an appearance. Like these things often go, we actually ended up having a good time.
The basement was all set up for the dozen kids that were in attendance, and we quickly made friends with some of the
other parents. As they also invited their neighbors, it wasn’t long before we
also stumbled upon a couple familiar faces. Russ knew some of the folks from
when he worked on the project, and we even ran into a Geocaching buddy! So, we
did leave about 8:00, but it all worked out really well.

We vowed not to go anywhere on Sunday, and stuck to our guns, although Russ did have to run to CVS to get
more wrapping paper. We lounged in the morning together, and kept up with the
laundry. We wrapped presents most of the afternoon, and then had some tasty crab
legs for dinner. It was another nice family day, and we all worked together to
get a few chores done.
Monday was a usual day back at work. Really getting hard to concentrate. No one wants to really
do much of anything, except chat about impending travel, gifts and the like. None-the-less, meetings still were
held, and documents stilled required reviewing.
However, we had Christmas plans for the evening. I thought it'd be nice to go see St. Maries
Musica in concert. I longed to see some old friends, and hear some familiar (and new) tunes. Sounded like a good plan, but after the three of us settled in - near the back of course - we barely got through
the first couple of songs before Liam really felt he needed to sing along... rather loudly. So, Russ, unfortunately
had to step out to a nearby hallway. I kept hoping that as the concert wore on, my little Tenor would fall asleep, but
no, he just found the church's high ceilings and inevitable echoes too much of a delight. Thus, I - alone got to enjoy
the music, but we made a hasty departure just as the last song began. Maybe I'll just go by myself next year, but
hey, the kid's gotta learn to be a good listener sometime.... right??
Tuesday was another workday, but we got out of bed much more easily than
usual, because our day was delayed by our FIRST PRENATAL doctor's appointment! All three of us journeyed to the once
very familiar office, and settled right into the routine once again. Liam was really good up until the lights were turned
off, and my belly was gelled up for the Ultrasound. He wasn't quite sure what was going on, but fortunately the
nurse allowed him to sit up next to me, and he quieted down, much to Russ's relief. The three of us stared
at the miracle on the monitor before us. A tiny little heartbeat blipped in a cozy little black and white body.
A tiny little arm, complete with 5 delicate fingers reached up in a stretch. Simply beautiful. Russ, swears
that the little body was certainly a girl, but it's too early yet for technology to tell. Liam looked at the pictures
and proudly said, "Baby!" Our blessing is a reality now, and we thank God every day for his blessed gift one last
time.

December 10 - 11, 2005
There was so much going on this weekend that we could have easily exhausted ourselves with home-biz parties (like Pampered
Chef), Christmas Light displays, concerts, and shopping lures. At first I felt lucky that this year - without Musica
concerts - we'd actually be able to enjoy these local festivities. However, we found that nothing much could compete
with just being cozy at home with each other.
Nothing that is... except Santa!
We first arrived at "the North Pole" on Saturday at 10, but were told it didn't start until 11. We decided
to go finish up some shopping over at Cecil's Mill, but little did we know - we should have just stayed at San Souci Plaza's
North Pole and got in line.
We returned to the plaza around 11:30. We parked near CiCi's Pizza as we knew we'd be going there for lunch.
We rounded the corner to be surprised by a rather lengthy LINE! It felt just like "A Christmas Story" when the freaky
girl turns to Ralphie in line and says, "I like the Wizard of Oz!"
Alas, we waited. It wasn't that cold, and Liam found himself entertained by the kids around him. The girls
ahead of him found him to be irresistably cute, and he's such a flirt that it worked out well for about 30 minutes.
Russ was entertained by the games on the cell phone. A little elf lady came outside and delivered some fresh popcorn,
so that was fun too.
We finally got inside, and made our way up to Santa's lap. I was surprised. I figured Liam would freak out
by the man with the spooky beard, but he was SO relaxed up there in his lap, that he made NO move to get off! In fact,
when I went to retrieve him, he looked at me like, "But Mom, I was so comfortable!"
Then we made our way to the cookie decorating station, which Liam thoroughly loved. He was just tall enough to sprinkle
some pink sprinkles on a Christmas tree cookie, which was in his mouth (and all over his shirt) before we left the table.
There was a stall at the Ornament decorating station, so we opted to just take our kit and make it at home.
The wait for our picture was about 30 minutes, so we decided to go have lunch and return which worked out quite well.
It was a $5 pic, but worth every penny.

Sure, the line was long, and the hoopla was crazy, but you know... it still was fun. It had a magic about it and
it was nice to see such a simpe tradition kept. I'll bet we'll do it next year too.
Saturday afternoon we started wrapping some presents, but all of us found one way or another to snooze or veg in front
of the TV. We'd planned to go over to Solomon's Island and Ann Marie Gardens to see the light show, but just couldn't
bring ourselves to bundle up and venture out. Warm fondue in front of a good movie on TV was just irresistable.
Sunday morning, I got up and took the dogs for a spin around the neighborhood. It was a nice quiet morning and we
all enjoyed the fresh aire.
Then Liam and I cooked a dandy pancake breakfast, which woke Russ up to join us. We watched a video called "Stranger
in the Woods," based on a book that Gramma Day had gotten Liam last Christmas. It was really cute, and he loved seeing
all the animals.
That afternoon, we hired Amy Hoffman to babysit Liam while we went to see the new Harry Potter movie. The movie was
excellent, but poor Russ realized that he hadn't escaped my cold during the middle of it, so by the time it was over, he was
ready to head home for bed even though it was only dinnertime.
I made us some soup and sandwiches, and we settled in to watch the finale of one of our favorite shows, Survivor.
Seems like we watched a lot of TV this weekend, but it was just really cozy to have the house all decorated, and things
settled enough to just enjoy being a family in our home together.

December 3rd-4th
This weekend's theme was decorating for Christmas. We put good use of the lights Leigh sent us that were from Joan and
Paul. With Erin taking a breakj from St. Maries Musica we had more time to decorate. The weather stayed nice enough on both
days to decorate inside and out. Of course we took a few trips to Lowes for a few supplies, mainly a new heavy duty stapler.
Saturday we finished most of the outside work. We did the fence and bay window Sunday morning. On Saturday night it rained
and we watched the old Rod Serling Television Series Night Gallery we rented from Netflix.
On Sunday the sun was out and dried things out. We took another trip to Lowes and then finished up the outside. We then
got the rest of the house decorated finsihing up with the tree after dinner. We think it looks nice. It is the most
we have decorated in about 4 years. Noah and Russ's Mom are staying the week after Christmas so we wanted to add some extra
touches. Monday night we even were lucky enough to get six inches of snow. It looks really pretty now.
