8 year old Ash is the Alpha boy. He was in the foster care of the
Monica's Heart Greyhound Adoption Program for six months due to the fact that he LOVES cats... as in, he loves to kill them!
Russ and Erin had committed to the idea of adopting a third Greyhound in the Spring of 2000. They used www.petfinder.com
<http://www.petfinder.com/>, and found Ash, then known by his racing name of "Kiowa Kauffman." This "Blue &
White" dapper 3 year old was a long time favorite of Monica's Heart, but he was difficult to place because of his high prey
drive. Since Erin and Russ had no cats, he fit in quite well, and was soon finding his alpha role over Hayride and Dakota
and the many foster greyhounds that still came through the Last Lap Greyhound Connection.
